Chúng tôi, những tổ chức kí tên dưới đây, hoan nghênh sáng kiến Liên minh các nước nói không với điện than do Vương quốc Anh và Canada khởi xướng. Những quốc gia này một lần nữa nhấn mạnh sự cần thiết của việc cắt giảm cacbon và loại bỏ than đối với tất cả quốc gia trên thế giới. Đối với các quốc gia phát triển, đây là yêu cầu cấp thiết cần phải hoàn thành trước năm 2030, đối với các quốc gia còn lại thời hạn sẽ là năm 2050. Tuy nhiên chúng tôi kêu gọi các quốc gia đẩy nhanh hơn nữa thời hạn loại bỏ điện than để mục tiêu 100% năng lượng tái tạo có thể được hiện thực hóa trước năm 2030 đối với các quốc gia phát triển và trước năm 2050 đối với các quốc gia đang phát triển.

Vừa qua ngày 11/11/2017 tại An Giang, Trung tâm Phát triển Sáng tạo Xanh (GreenID) phối hợp với Trung tâm hành động và liên kết vì môi trường và phát triển (Change) đã tổ chức chuyến thăm quan thực địa cho các nhà báo về các mô hình NLBV cấp cộng đồng.

Hoạt động nằm trong khuôn khổ dự án: “Tăng cường tiếp cận năng lượng cho người nghèo chưa nối lưới ở các tỉnh đồng bằng sông Mekong của Việt Nam thông qua ứng dụng các giải pháp năng lượng xanh và bền vững” với sự hỗ trợ tài chính từ Tổ chức Bánh mì cho thế giới (BFTW).

Mục tiêu chính của hoạt động nhằm chia sẻ thực tiễn tốt về ứng dụng các giải pháp năng lượng bền vững cấp cộng đồng thông qua mô hình lập kế hoạch năng lượng địa phương tại địa bàn An Giang. Đồng thời, xây dựng mạng lưới kết nối giữa các nhà báo và GreenID, Change nhằm lan tỏa các bài học thành công từ cộng đồng hướng đến giảm thiểu biến đổi khí hậu và thúc đẩy phát triển năng lượng bền vững. For tens of thousands of fossil fuel workers, though, the energy industry outlook is not promising. For coal industry workers, the future looks particularly bleak. However, research I conducted with Edward Louie of Oregon State University offers hope for a better future based on retraining workers. Our study (published in the journal Energy Economics) quantified the costs and benefits of retraining coal workers for employment in the rapidly expanding solar photovoltaic industry—and it explores different ways to pay for this retraining. Bai choi, a folk music genre practiced in central Vietnam, has been officially recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

VietNamNet Bridge – Seventy-four percent of workers in the manufacturing & processing industry in Vietnam are expected to lose their jobs because of the impact of the fourth industrial revolution, the highest level among ASEAN countries, according to a report from the Central Economics Committee.

The average productivity was $3,360 in 2015

The report pointed out that 74 percent of workers in the manufacturing & processing industry are expected to be replaced by robots. The figure is higher than the 54 percent of the Philippines, 58 percent of Thailand and 67 percent of Indonesia.

“Vietnam’s manufacturing and processing industry has low performance, and workers in the industry do not undergo intensive training. Chuong (Bell) pagoda in Nhan Duc village, Hung Yen province, guards a number of precious historical relics. It is part of the Pho Hien Special National Relic Site.
