Navy warships have sailed near islands claimed by China in the disputed South China Sea twice in the past few days, the United States military told Reuters on Thursday, at a time of tension between the world’s two-largest economies.

HCM CITY — The central province of Ninh Thuận has seen a boom in renewable energy projects, especially solar power, but power transmission lines in the province have failed to handle the capacity, experts have said.
A number of solar and wind projects in the province have been developed after preferential incentives on prices for renewable power were issued, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Tin từ Nghệ An: Sau khi bị Chính phủ Mỹ từ chối cấp quy chế tỵ nạn chính trị và trục xuất về Việt Nam, ông Hà Văn Thành, một người từng tham gia biểu tình phản đối Formosa, đã bị an ninh Việt Nam bắt giữ để điều tra về cáo buộc buôn người.
Ngay khi nhập cảnh từ cửa khẩu phi trường Nội Bài cuối tháng 10, ông Thành đã bị công an câu lưu rồi đưa về Nghệ An, nơi ông chính thức bị điều tra về cáo buộc “Tổ chức, môi giới cho người khác trốn đi nước ngoài hoặc ở lại nước ngoài trái phép” theo Điều 349 của Bộ luật Hình sự với mức án từ 5 đến 10 năm tù giam. (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Một bộ công cụ tinh vi sẽ giúp các tổ chức tài chính khám phá được lợi nhuận của các tổ chức buôn người – ước tính khoảng 150 tỷ đô la mỗi năm – đang được chuyển qua hệ thống tài chính, một liên minh chống buôn người thông báo vào năm 2018.
Các công cụ phát hiện các giao dịch đáng ngờ sẽ cho phép các công ty dễ dàng phát hiện ra tội phạm buôn người sử dụng dịch vụ ngân hàng hoặc dịch vụ chuyển tiền để xử lý lợi nhuận, tổ chức của Liên minh Ngân hàng Hoa Kỳ cho biết.

At a working session with the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Trong stressed that related agencies need to complete the handling of serious corruption cases which have stirred up public concern, Vietnam News Agency reported.

US authorities are investigating an ongoing outbreak of scombrotoxin fish poisoning traced to yellowfin tuna. They have blocked all incoming shipments of the fish from a Vietnamese company that has refused to initiate a recall.

The most recent illness began Oct. 15, according to an outbreak investigation notice posted today by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
