Three policemen and a civilian were killed Thursday in a clash at a controversial military airport construction site in Hanoi.

The clash took place a week after some units of the Ministry of National Defense, in collaboration with local authorities, began building a fence for the Mieu Mon military airport in Dong Tam Village, My Duc District, 40 km (25 miles) south of the capital, the Ministry of Public Security said.
“On Thursday morning, some people resisted, using hand-grenades, petrol bombs and knives to attack police forces, fighting officers on duty and disrupting public order,” the ministry said on its website. As a result, three policemen and a civilian died and another person was injured.
“Authorities have launched an investigation into the case and have arrested the lawbreakers,” the ministry said.

Bộ Công an vừa phát thông báo về vụ việc gây rối trật tự công cộng và chống người thi hành công vụ tại xã Đồng Tâm, huyện Mỹ Đức, Hà Nội.
Từ ngày 31/12/2019, một số đơn vị của Bộ Quốc phòng phối hợp với lực lượng chức năng tiến hành xây dựng tường rào bảo vệ sân bay Miếu Môn tại xã Đồng Tâm, TP Hà Nội theo kế hoạch.
Trong quá trình xây dựng, sáng nay, một số đối tượng có hành vi chống đối, sử dụng lựu đạn, bom xăng, dao phóng… tấn công lực lượng chức năng, chống người thi hành công vụ, gây rối trật tự công cộng.
3 cán bộ chiến sĩ công an hy sinh, 1 đối tượng chống đối chết, 1 đối tượng bị thương.

Các đơn vị chức năng đã khống chế và bắt giữ các đối tượng vi phạm pháp luật nghiêm trọng, khởi tố vụ án, khởi tố bị can, tiến hành xử lý theo đúng quy định của pháp luật
Hiện nay, các đơn vị liên quan đang tiến hành xây dựng tường rào sân bay Miếu Môn theo kế hoạch.
