Hải quân Indonesia tiếp tục bắt giữ tàu cá Trung Quốc do đánh bắt trái phép ở vùng biển Natuna, trong khi 11 tàu khác chạy thoát.

Khi tàu chiến KRI Imam Bonjol-383 của Indonesia đến gần 12 tàu cá nước ngoài hoạt động trái phép ở biển Natuna, các tàu này đã cố chạy trốn, sau vài phát súng cảnh cáo, một trong 12 tàu đã dừng lại, Kyodo hôm qua dẫn lại lời ông Edi Sucipto, phát ngôn viên của Hải quân Indonesia cho biết.
Sau khi kiểm tra, nhà chức trách Indonesia phát hiện đây là tàu của Trung Quốc. Trên khoang có một phụ nữ và 6 người đàn ông, tất cả đều là công dân Trung Quốc.
Hồi tháng 5 năm ngoái, Indonesia từng đánh chìm tàu cá Gui Xei Yu 12661 của Trung Quốc và 40 tàu nước ngoài khác bằng thuốc nổ ở bờ biển Tây Kalimantan. Bộ trưởng Thủy sản và Hàng hải Indonesia Susi Pudjiastuti cho biết hành động với các tàu đánh bắt trái phép “chỉ đơn thuần thực thi pháp luật”.
Indonesia gần đây tăng cường lực lượng bảo vệ vùng biển Natuna, giáp với Biển Đông, nơi một phần bị đường lưỡi bò phi lý của Trung Quốc lấn vào. Indonesia hiện có khoảng 800 quân nhân ở khu vực biển Natuna, con số dự kiến tăng lên 2.000 người trong năm nay.
Indonesia không phải một bên tranh chấp ở Biển Đông nhưng đã bày tỏ sự phản đối với đường 9 đoạn mà Trung Quốc đưa ra, chiếm gần trọn vùng biển này. Trung Quốc tranh chấp ở Biển Đông với một số thành viên ASEAN là Việt Nam, Philippines, Malaysia và Brunei.
