Nearly two-thirds of global workforce in the ‘informal’ economy – UN study
More than 61 per cent of the world’s employed population – two billion people – earn their livelihoods in the informal sector, the United Nations labour agency said on Monday, stressing that a transition to the formal economy is critical to ensure rights’ protection and decent working conditions.
“The high incidence of informality in all its forms has multiple adverse consequences for workers, enterprises and societies and is a major challenge for the realization of decent work for all,” said Rafael Diez de Medina, the Director of the Department of Statistics at the UN International Labour Organization (ILO).
The findings are revealed in ILO’s latest report, Women and men in the informal economy: A statistical picture. The study also provides comparable estimates on the size of the informal economy and a statistical profile of the sector, using criteria from more than 100 countries.
“Having managed to measure this important dimension, now included in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators framework, this can be seen as an excellent step towards acting on it, particularly thanks to more available comparable data from countries,” added Mr. Diez de Medina.

Ngày 13/4 vừa qua, trong hội thảo chuyên đề rừng Cù Lao Chàm, GreenViet đã báo cáo kết quả của dự án Điều tra thành phần loài và xây dựng danh lục thực vật trên cạn tại đảo Hòn Lao thuộc khu dự trữ sinh quyển thế giới Cù Lao Chàm.
- Hết năm 2017, GreenViet bước đầu đã điều tra, xác định được 304 loài thực vật bậc cao trên cạn tại đảo Hòn Lao, Cù Lao Chàm. Năm loài có tình trạng nguy cấp, cần được quan tâm, bảo tồn.
- Trong 800 hộ dân đang sinh sống tại Cù Lao Chàm, có 50 hộ thường xuyên khai thác tài nguyên thực vật với mục đích buôn bán, phục vụ nhu cầu khách du lịch.

Đây là nội dung nổi bật được quy định tại Công văn 575/PTTH&TTĐT về việc tăng cường công tác quản lý trò chơi điện tử trên mạng.

Theo đó, Cục phát thanh, truyền hình và Thông tin điện tử yêu cầu các doanh nghiệp cung cấp dịch vụ trò chơi điện tử trên mạng tuân thủ các quy định sau:
– Thực hiện nghiêm các quy định về tài sản ảo, điểm thưởng trong trò chơi theo quy định tại Thông tư 24/2014/TT-BTTTT và tuyệt đối không được đổi thưởng, đổi tài sản ảo ra tiền mặt và các hiện vật có giá trị;
– Do hiện nay căn cứ pháp lý hướng dẫn việc thanh toán bằng thẻ thanh toán dịch vụ viễn thông (thẻ cào điện thoại) chưa rõ ràng nên các doanh nghiệp cung cấp dịch vụ cần thận trọng khi sử dụng hình thức thanh toán này;
– Thực hiện nghiêm các quy định của pháp luật về trò chơi điện tử trên mạng, rà soát, đảm bảo phát hành các trò chơi theo đúng nội dung, kịch bản đã được phê duyệt;
– Chấm dứt việc phát hành trò chơi chưa được cấp quyết định phê duyệt nội dung kịch bản;
– Thực hiện nghiêm chế độ báo cáo định kỳ theo quy định tại điểm b khoản 2 Điều 11 Thông tư 24.
