HÀ NỘI — The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, an agency of the US Department of Agriculture, will send officials to Việt Nam to check the quality of fruits to be exported to the US.

Vietnam’s prime minister has approved a proposal by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance to construct a key road in the Mekong Delta using official development assistance (ODA) loans from South Korea.

Vietnam recorded four new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, with its total nearing 1,000, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The four patients include two in Da Nang, one in neighboring Quang Nam Province, and one in northern Hai Duong Province.

Patient No. 990 is a 25-year-old medical worker at Da Nang Family Hospital.

Trump cancels US-China trade negotiations

US President Donald Trump told reporters on Tuesday that he had called off US – China trade deal negotiations.

“I don’t want to talk to them now,” Trump said. “If you know what they’ve done to this country and the world, I don’t want to talk to China just yet. So yes, I canceled the talks.”
