Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — Mỹ Đức District Police in Hà Nội on Tuesday announced they were prosecuting 14 former officials of the district and of Đồng Tâm Commune.

The officials were allegedly involved in land violations in the commune.

ANTD.VN – CQĐT CATP Hà Nội đã ra quyết định khởi tố vụ án hình sự xảy ra tại xã Đồng Tâm, huyện Mỹ Đức, để điều tra về 2 tội danh.

Liên quan đến vụ việc có dấu hiệu vi phạm pháp luật xảy ra ngày 15-4-2017 tại xã Đồng Tâm, huyện Mỹ Đức, TP. Hà Nội, ngày 13-6-2017, Cơ quan CSĐT CATP Hà Nội đã ra quyết định khởi tố vụ án hình sự số 129/PC44-Đ2, để điều tra về 2 tội danh: “Bắt, giữ hoặc giam người trái pháp luật” (theo điều 123 BLHS) và “Hủy hoại hoặc cố ý làm hư hỏng tài sản” (theo điều 143 BLHS).

Cơ quan CSĐT CATP Hà Nội đang khẩn trương phối hợp với các đơn vị chức năng điều tra, xác minh làm rõ vụ án để xử lý nghiêm theo quy định của pháp luật./.

14h30 ngày 22/4, 19 cán bộ, cảnh sát cơ động chia thành hai hướng rời khỏi nhà văn hóa thôn Hoành (Đồng Tâm, Mỹ Đức, Hà Nội) sau một tuần bị giữ.

Kết thúc buổi đối thoại với người dân, đoàn của Chủ tịch Nguyễn Đức Chung rời trụ sở UBND xã Đồng Tâm đi về nhà văn hóa thôn Hoành – nơi 19 cán bộ, chiến sĩ cơ động đang bị giữ 7 ngày qua. Đây là cuộc tiếp xúc đầu tiên của Chủ tịch Chung với những người bị giữ.

Cùng đi với ông Chung có nhiều cán bộ trong đoàn và các cụ bô lão thôn. Phía bên ngoài, nhiều người dân tụ tập. Tiếng loa phát thông tin đề nghị người dân không kích động.

Trong cuộc đối thoại ít phút trước đó, ông Chung đã trả lời nhiều kiến nghị của người dân, khẳng định sẽ thanh tra việc sử dụng, quản lý đất tại Đồng Tâm, thanh tra việc công an đưa ông Lê Đình Kình lên xe công vụ chở đi vào hôm 15/4… Ông cam kết sẽ xử lý công tâm mọi việc.

The dialogue was an opportunity for the city leader and local representatives to exchange views and try to understand each other as they seek common ground on this sensitive land issue.

However, for many reasons, including the fact that it was late in the day and the commune is 22km away from the city centre, the dialogue did not iron out all the problems as expected. HÀ NỘI — The capital city’s prosecuting agency, Hà Nội People’s Procuracy, today anulled a decision taken by the local police on April 15 relating to the arrest of a senior resident over a land-reclaimation protest.The anullment came in response a police department request that preventive measures relating to 82-year-old Lê Đình Kình, a resident of Đồng Tâm Commune in Mỹ Đức District, Hà Nội, be rescinded.

Villagers of a commune in outer Hanoi, who have held law enforcement officers hostage since last weekend, are looking forward to a dialogue with authorities as soon as possible in order to resolve the escalating land dispute.

The dispute revolves around a large plot zoned for military purposes, which Hanoi authorities say has been illegally occupied by residents of Hoanh village in Dong Tam Commune, My Duc District, 30km from the center of Hanoi.

Hanoi administrators are calling on residents of a village outside the Vietnamese capital to remain calm and cooperate with authorities, after they took more than two dozen law enforcement officers hostage during a protest on Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon, the propaganda and education commission under the Hanoi Party Committee released an official statement on the disturbance in Dong Tam Commune in My Duc District, 30km from the centre of the city.

According to the document, residents with limited legal knowledge had obstructed on-duty police officers and held them captive over weekend.
