The Trump administration formally announced today that is is withdrawing from UNESCO, the UN’s scientific and cultural agency.

The US will downgrade its embassy there to an observer mission.

This is the rationale they gave.

Thailand plans to impose a smoking ban on 20 of its popular tourist beaches across the country, including those in Phuket and Krabi, the Bangkok Post reported on Tuesday (Oct 10).
