An algorithm for detecting who’s swiping the screen could help make phones child-proof.

It may soon be possible for your phone to automatically figure out whether it’s you or your five-year-old who’s swiping the screen—and, if it’s the latter, block apps you want to keep off-limits to kids.

That’s the vision of researchers at the University of South Carolina and China’s Zhejiang University, who’ve created an algorithm that can spot whether your kid is accidentally trying to, say, order from Amazon without your knowing. Tiếp tục đọc “A phone that says “no” to little kid fingers” →

Bitcoin Mining Now Consuming More Electricity Than 159 Countries Including Ireland & Most Countries In Africa

Bitcoin Mining Now Consuming More Electricity Than 159 Countries Including Ireland

The map above shows which countries consume less electricity than the amount consumed by global bitcoin miningBitcoin’s ongoing meteoric price rise has received the bulk of recent press attention with a lot of discussion around whether or not it’s a bubble waiting to burst.

However, most the coverage has missed out one of the more interesting and unintended consequences of this price increase. That is the surge in global electricity consumption used to “mine” more Bitcoins.

According to Digiconomist’s Bitcoin Energy Consumption Index, as of Monday November 20th, 2017 Bitcoin’s current estimated annual electricity consumption stands at 29.05TWh.

That’s the equivalent of 0.13% of total global electricity consumption. While that may not sound like a lot, it means Bitcoin mining is now using more electricity than 159 individual countries (as you can see from the map above). More than Ireland or Nigeria. Làm sao để có hàng chục triệu views giả trên youtube – How to get fake views?

How to spot fake youtube views

15,000 views for $5??  What a deal!

If you poke around the microjob website Fiverr.com you’ll discover that you can have thousands and thousands of “views” delivered to the youtube video of your choosing for just a few bucks.  But don’t get excited; you can’t just buy youtube super stardom.  When you order one of these gigs you’re actually buying hits that are disguised to look like views.  So 15,000 real people will NOT be watching your video.  Your view count is simply going to get inflated by 15,000.  Some of these bogus views are generated by bots but in many cases hackers will secretly embed a video on a popular web page.  Every time someone accesses that page the video automatically plays….albeit silently and invisibly.
