(CNN)The Iranian nuclear scientist assassinated east of Tehran was shot by a remote-controlled machine gun operating out of another car, the semi-official Fars News Agency said Sunday.With top Iranian officials blaming Israel, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and others have promised revenge for the Friday killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was the country’s chief nuclear scientist.There were conflicting accounts from Iranian news agencies about how the attack unfolded.The Fars News report said Fakhrizadeh was traveling with his wife in a bulletproof car, alongside three security personnel vehicles, when he heard what sounded like bullets hitting a vehicle, and he exited the car to determine what had happened.When he got out, a remote-controlled machine gun opened fire from a Nissan stopped about 150 meters (164 yards) from Fakhrizadeh’s car, the agency said.

Tuy hành nghề công nhân xây dựng ở Shiraz nhưng Navid là lực sĩ nổi tiếng tầm quốc gia vì đô vật là bộ môn được quần chúng Iran ưa chuộng, và về bộ môn này thì Iran ở đẳng cấp quốc tế.
Navid và các anh em ruột, cũng như cả ngàn người khác, đã tham dự các cuộc biểu tình chống chính quyền năm 2018, nên có dư luận nói vụ án này là đổ vấy cho họ để dằn mặt mọi người. Chính quyền, tòa án Iran không thông báo chi tiết cũng như nguyên nhân vụ án, chỉ xác định lơ mơ là Navid có mặt tại hiện trường vì điện thoại di động của anh được ghi nhận xuất hiện ở nơi xảy ra án mạng.

Có một thực tế oái oăm là cả ba tôn giáo “đâm chém” nhau suốt bao thế kỷ qua các cuộc thánh chiến, rồi sau này là bắn giết trong thời hiện đại ở Trung Đông: Do Thái, Kitô, và Hồi giáo, đều có chung một ông tổ là Abraham, được cho là sinh trưởng tại thành phố Ur thuộc đế quốc Babylon (nay ở nam Iraq, gần giáp Kuwait) vào thế kỷ 20 trước Công nguyên.

President Trump thought the nuclear deal was flawed because restrictions on Iran would end after 15 years. Now, responding to a U.S. strike, Iran has declared the limits over after less than five.
When President Trump withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear deal in May 2018, he justified his unilateral action by saying the accord was flawed, in part because the major restrictions on Iran ended after 15 years, when Tehran would be free to produce as much nuclear fuel as it wanted.
But now, instead of buckling to American pressure, Iran declared on Sunday that those restrictions are over — a decade ahead of schedule. Mr. Trump’s gambit has effectively backfired.
Iran’s announcement essentially sounded the death knell of the 2015 nuclear agreement. And it largely re-creates conditions that led Israel and the United States to consider destroying Iran’s facilities a decade ago, again bringing them closer to the potential of open conflict with Tehran that was avoided by the accord.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Iran rejected as unfounded a U.S. accusation on Thursday that it supplied a missile fired at Saudi Arabia from Yemen on Nov. 4, describing weaponry displayed by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley as “fabricated.”
Iran’s mission to the United Nations said in a statement that the accusation by the United States was “irresponsible, provocative and destructive.”
“These accusations seek also to cover up for the Saudi war crimes in Yemen, with the U.S. complicity, and divert international and regional attention from the stalemate war of aggression against the Yemenis,” the statement said.

Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, on Thursday introduced what she sees as irrefutable evidence that Iran violated U.N rules by providing Houthi rebels in Yemen with arms.
Haley, holding a press conference at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., presented what she described as recovered pieces of a missile fired by Houthi militants from Yemen into Saudi Arabia, pointing out the missile bears “Iranian missile fingerprints.” Yemen is facing a devastating civil war that has been raging since 2015. Between 1095 and 1291, Christians from western Europe launched a series of eight major invasions against the Middle East. These attacks, called the Crusades, were aimed at “liberating” the Holy Land and Jerusalem from Muslim rule.
The Crusades were sparked by religious fervor in Europe, by exhortations from various Popes, and by the need to rid Europe of excess warriors left over from regional wars.
