Mùa xuân Ả Rập: Một thập kỷ tang thương

TTCT – Sau 10 năm của những biến cố Mùa xuân Ả Rập, nhiều nước Trung Đông và Bắc Phi vẫn chưa thấy ánh sáng cuối đường hầm.

Bấy giờ là đầu năm 2011. Hai chị em cô gái người Kuwait là bạn học của con tôi ở Lebanon vừa sang Cali sửa soạn nhập học niên khóa tới, thuê nhà xong thì phải nghĩ đến chuyện mua xe con để đi lại. 

Tại Trung Đông và Bắc Phi, cái gọi là Mùa xuân Ả Rập đang dậy lửa trên đường phố. Đó đây người ta tự thiêu để phản đối, trước tiên là đời sống đắt đỏ, vật giá gia tăng và nạn thất nghiệp trong giới thanh niên.

Tại Kuwait cũng thế, các bà nội trợ than phiền giá bánh mì. Quốc vương Al Sabbah bèn khéo léo bày ra là nhân 50 năm lập quốc, tặng mỗi người dân già trẻ lớn bé 1.000 dinar, tức 3.850 USD xài chơi, đồng thời, dân than bánh mì đắt thì cho thêm mỗi người đủ tiền thực phẩm trong 13 tháng tới! 

Tôi hỏi hai cô này, thế có đủ mua xe con ở Mỹ không? Các cô bẽn lẽn trả lời, vâng, cả hai chị em cộng mưa móc này của hoàng gia lại thì cũng mua được cái xe cũ chạy đỡ đấy, nhưng chúng cháu có thêm tiền của bố mẹ. Tiếp tục đọc “Mùa xuân Ả Rập: Một thập kỷ tang thương” →

TTCT – Sự phát triển của nền sản xuất quốc gia và các doanh nghiệp tư nhân nội địa thực sự tạo ra của cải vật chất luôn đi kèm với một đòi hỏi bắt buộc: một nền công nghiệp hỗ trợ đủ mạnh. Đây cũng đã là điều được nêu rõ trong dự thảo văn kiện Đại hội Đảng XIII.

Trong mục “Về cơ cấu lại nền kinh tế gắn với đổi mới mô hình tăng trưởng”, dự thảo viết: “Phát triển công nghiệp chưa đáp ứng được yêu cầu công nghiệp hóa, hiện đại hóa, chủ yếu phát triển theo mục tiêu ngắn hạn, thiếu tính bền vững; chưa tạo ra được ngành công nghiệp trong nước có năng lực cạnh tranh cao, chưa có ngành công nghiệp mũi nhọn đóng vai trò dẫn dắt. TTCT – Một nạn nhân chất độc da cam đơn thương độc mã đối mặt với 26 công ty hùng mạnh, thông qua một thiết chế luật pháp quốc tế, đòi công lý cho mình. Đó là hành trình hơn 10 năm bước vào cuộc tranh đấu của bà Trần Tố Nga, trong đó có hơn 6 năm theo đuổi 19 phiên tòa thủ tục đầy trắc trở, trong niềm tin kiên định rằng tội ác sẽ bị kết án, công lý không chỉ tới cho riêng mình bà mà sẽ mở đường cho rất nhiều nạn nhân chất độc da cam Việt Nam và trên thế giới. Tại Paris (Pháp), nhà nghiên cứu Nguyễn Thụy Phương (Tiến sĩ Giáo dục học, Giảng viên thỉnh giảng – Đại học Paris) trò chuyện cùng bà Trần Tố Nga trước ngày phiên tòa chính thức tiến hành (25-1-2021).

TTCT – Đây là lời của luật sư William Bourdon, một trong ba luật sư người Pháp (cùng Bertrand Repolt, Amélie Lefebvre), đã đồng hành cùng bà Trần Tố Nga trong 10 năm bà đi tìm công lý. Họ sẽ bảo vệ bà trong phiên tòa sắp tới (ngày 25-1-2021 tại Pháp), cáo buộc 26 công ty hóa chất Mỹ về hành vi diệt chủng môi trường (écocide) trong cuộc chiến tranh ở Việt Nam.

Nguyen Tung Lam from the Giang Vo Secondary School in Hanoi and Ha Manh Hung from the secondary school division of the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School were named at the Sunday closing ceremony of IMSO 21 after winning a gold medal each in mathematics.

Besides the two gold medals, Vietnam also won five silver and four bronze medals each in mathematics and science. All the medal winners, 20 out of 24 entrants, were secondary school students in Hanoi.

The 17th IMSO, an annual competition for students under 13, was held January 21-24. Hosted online by Indonesia due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, participants had to perform in their own countries within a specific time frame. The performance was broadcast live.

In Vietnam, the Giang Vo Secondary School was chosen as the venue for the competition. Vietnam hosted 16th IMSO in 2019 and the home team won 15 gold, 14 silver and seven bronze medals.Related News:
