Anh nói tỉnh bơ, cộng sản thì làm sao – so what?  “Mày có biết là tao sống như cộng sản không, tức là có cái gì, tao cũng chia sẻ cho mọi người. Tao là cộng sản thực, những người cộng sản hiện nay, chẳng vị nào hiểu sống đời cộng sản là cái gì

Mình cười nói, “Anh nói đúng rồi, đồng ý”. Rồi câu chuyện đơn giản dừng lại ở đó, bọn mình hi5 vỗ tay nhau và đứng dậy đi làm việc tiếp.

Accessible only by boat, its inhabitants wiled away their time fishing and farming.

Ha, their boss, is too. Her father was a victim of Agent Orange and she suffers some enduring side effects of the toxic herbicide sprayed by American forces in Viet Nam. In addition to her sewing work she heads up the Club of Women with Disabilities in Quoc Oai District. Tiếp tục đọc “The seamstress who patches up lives”

The prediction has been realized, but convenience stores, not large supermarkets, are the favored channel.

Market analysts have found that consumers now prioritize convenience when choosing shops. They are no longer excited about the opening of new hypermarkets as they were in the past, but often prefer to shop at convenience stores near their houses. Tens of trillions of dong of state capital nearly lost in equitization

Last update 08:00 | 03/09/2017
VietNamNet Bridge – More than 96 percent of SOEs slated for equitization have been equitized, but only 8 percent of the state’s capital has been transferred to the private sector. vietnam economy, business news, vn news, vietnamnet bridge, english news, Vietnam news, news Vietnam, vietnamnet news, vn news, Vietnam net news, Vietnam latest news, Vietnam breaking news, SOE, equitization, MOF
According to Tran Dinh Thien, the number of SOEs has decreased significantly over the last 15 years of restructuring, from 6,000 in 2001 to 700 in 2016.

The equitization has led to a significant decrease in the number of business fields in which the State invests. In 2001, SOEs were operating in 60 business fields, but the figure has dropped to 19. This has given more ‘space’ and opportunities to the private sector to make investments. Tiếp tục đọc “Tens of trillions of dong of state capital nearly lost in equitization”

US planning more regular South China Sea patrols: Report

Channelnewsasia

The US has conducted three “freedom of navigation” operations in the South China Sea since January — the last one by the USS John S. McCain, a destroyer that collided with a cargo ship days later off Singapore, killing 10 sailors AFP/James Vazquez

WASHINGTON: The Pentagon is planning to conduct more regular patrols in the South China Sea – as many as two to three a month – to assert freedom of navigation in disputed waters claimed by China, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday (Sep 1).

The newspaper said the aim is to create a more consistent posture to counter China’s maritime claims, rather than a more ad hoc approach favored during Barack Obama’s administration. Tiếp tục đọc “US planning more regular South China Sea patrols: Report”

Who are the Rohingya?

The Rohingya are often described as “the world’s most persecuted minority”.

They are an ethnic Muslim group who have lived for centuries in the majority Buddhist Myanmar. Currently, there are about 1.1 million Rohingya Muslims who live in the Southeast Asian country.

The Rohingya speak Rohingya or Ruaingga, a dialect that is distinct to others spoken in Rakhine State and throughout Myanmar. They are not considered one of the country’s 135 official ethnic groups and have been denied citizenship in Myanmar since 1982, which has effectively rendered them stateless. It’s nearly 10pm and Umida* is cooking dinner – a simple meal of rice and meat for the 11 members of her household who have been stuck inside the house all day due to Uzbekistan’s intense summer heat.

Since emerging as an independent nation in 1991, after nearly 200 years of Russian and then Soviet rule, Uzbekistan has slowly seen some economic progress. But poverty and unemployment remain high and many Uzbeks travel abroad for work. This leaves the men, women and children vulnerable to forced labour and sex trafficking.
