Khoảng 4h chiều 23/7, người dân ấp 6, xã Vĩnh Lộc A, huyện Bình Chánh phát hiện ngôi nhà gia đình anh Nguyễn Vĩnh Phước đang thuê, bỗng nhiên bốc cháy. Mọi người hô hoán nhau chạy tới phá cửa, đập tường, dội nước dập lửa. Trong nhà, lúc đó có Nguyễn Đào Phú Quý (10 tuổi) cùng 5 đứa em nhỏ. Cậu bé kéo bốn đứa em ra lan can gác lửng và kêu mọi người cứu giúp còn mình tiếp tục lao vào trong nhà để cứu bé út gần một tuổi.
Trong lúc mọi người cố gắng đưa bốn em nhỏ xuống, một cậu bé sinh kế Quý nhất quyết cầm chặt sợi dây, đứng mãi ở lan can nhìn vào trong nhà, chờ anh trai với bé út xuống cùng. Người dân phải kéo mạnh tay mới đưa bé xuống đất an toàn.

Grim footage of dead corals at a Vietnamese marine reserve, as far as the eye can see, has reignited calls for better environmental action as even a two-year pandemic pause in tourism has done little to help the ecosystem recover.
Last month, pictures and videos of dead coral stretching hundreds of square metres at Hon Mun Island struck the public’s nerve and prompted local authorities to restrict swimming and diving in the marine reserve until it fully inspected the area. The dead reef is situated in Nha Trang Bay, the first of 16 Marine Protected Areas in Vietnam.

The signing of the Abraham Accords and the subsequent normalisation of formal diplomatic relations between Israel and the UAE, followed by Israel and Bahrain, have reconfigured the political alignments of West Asia. In a world which is passing through uncertain times, characterized by power rivalries, armed conflicts, the looming fear of food crisis coupled with pessimistic market sentiments in a post-pandemic era, the Abraham Accords have not only created opportunities for bilateral engagements between the countries of West Asia but also have led to the creation of a Quadrilateral cooperative framework between India, Israel, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

Từ giữa năm 2021 đến nay, các phóng viên, cộng tác viên Báo Thanh Niên đã có nhiều chuyến công tác, ghi nhận việc tàu thuyền trung quốc vẫn neo đậu dài ngày, tại một số bãi đá ngầm ở quần đảo Trường Sa (khánh Hòa).
“Nếu như giữa năm 2021, các tàu cá Trung Quốc tập trung hàng trăm chiếc, cao điểm lên đến gần 300 chiếc tại bãi Ba Đầu, thì đến nay chỉ có khoảng 30 chiếc nằm lì ăn vạ trong bãi”.
Đó là khẳng định của nhiều thuyền trưởng tàu cá của huyện đảo Phú Quý (Bình Thuận) thường xuyên đánh bắt thủy sản ở cụm đảo Sinh Tồn, và cho biết thêm: “Số neo đậu phía ngoài và tản mát ở các khu vực lân cận khoảng gần 100 chiếc. Tất cả đều là tàu dân binh Trung Quốc và chúng tôi đã nhẵn mặt từ mấy năm nay”.
