The green economy is a new economic paradigm which seeks to achieve economic development, while at the same time protecting the environment and achieving sustainable economic and social development. This requires transitioning to green jobs and green skills, and to creating new jobs in relation to the greening of workforces. Green jobs are relevant across all key sectors: agriculture, manufacturing, building, transport, tourism, and renewable energy. Skills acquisition and enhancement have great positive implications for all aspects of education and training, and for businesses.

Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV) has attracted much attention because it was born out of Vietnam-U.S. bilateral engagement. However, as the university welcomes its first class in September, FUV will become more than just a diplomatic achievement. (TBKTSG) – Việc hàng loạt bệnh viện công và tư đang được khởi công xây dựng ở TPHCM và dự kiến hoạt động sau hai, ba năm nữa đang đặt ra nhiều vấn đề về nguồn nhân lực y khoa, kéo theo các vấn đề về chất lượng khám chữa bệnh.
Nhiều bệnh viện “lay lắt”, “chết lâm sàng”
TPHCM có khoảng 20 bệnh viện (công và tư) đang được xây dựng và dự kiến khởi công trong năm nay và năm tới, hầu hết là những bệnh viện lớn, tầm cỡ. Nhiều người trong giới y khoa cho rằng việc thu hút được nhiều thành phần tư nhân tham gia đầu tư kinh doanh dịch vụ y tế cho thấy sự thành công của chủ trương xã hội hóa y tế của Chính phủ, tuy nhiên, hoạt động của các bệnh viện, nhất là bệnh viện tư, có thành công hay không lại là vấn đề khác.

Holders of bachelor, Master’s or doctorate degrees struggling with unemployment grew to more than 218,000 in the fourth quarter of last year, making up nearly half the number of skilled workers without a job.
The latest Labor Market Newsletter of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shows unemployment in the final quarter of last year slightly declined from the preceding quarter in terms of both number and rate.
Specifically, the jobless numbered 1.1 million, around 7,000 fewer than in the

The amount of money was less than 50 percent of the salary that Japanese companies paid to Chinese workers who work for factories in China.
JETRO’s Chief Representative Atsusuke Kawada said the pay to Vietnamese shows that Vietnam remains a market with cheap labor costs in comparison with other countries. reuters_More than half of workers in five Southeast Asian countries are at high risk of losing their jobs to automation in the next two decades, an International Labour Organization study found, with those in the garments industry particularly vulnerable.
About 137 million workers or 56 percent of the salaried workforce from Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, fall under the high-risk category, the study showed.
“Countries that compete on low-wage labor need to reposition themselves. Price advantage is no longer enough,” said Deborah France-Massin, director for the ILO’s bureau for employers’ activities.
