These are the world’s ‘most excellent’ airlines for 2020, according to AirlineRatings.com

TĐH: Where are Vietnam Airlines and Viet Jet? Vietnam Airline, try hard, OK? I am embarrassed by Viet Jet! Come on, world! Fly our airline, Vietnamese women have great bodies. Look at them in bikini! Better than beer ôm and coffee ôm. Think about our women’s bodies while you fly with us. You will realize that our women have greatest bodies in the world.

That is surely a good way to get money from men with hormone at the level of teenager. It embarrasses both Vietnamese women and men. And looks like the driving force behind all this is a woman too. Is she a real woman, or a sick male chauvinist in disguise? Or she is simply sick by obsession with money making? Wow, money, mony, money! Such a great driving force of human psyche!

A VND6.7 trillion ($289.6 million) expansion project to upgrade the Phap Van-Cau Gie expressway, the southern gateway to Hanoi, from four to six lanes was completed late last year and put into operation earlier this year.

The Phap Van-Cau Gie Expressway, which first opened in 2002, runs more than 32 kilometers (20 miles) to the south of Hanoi and links up with another expressway to the nearby Ninh Binh Province. The six-lane expressway is expected to cater to 60,000 vehicles per day and daily revenue from toll fees is estimated at more than VND2 billion ($86,400). HÀ NỘI — The State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) has proposed freezing the accounts of those suspected of committing the fraud.

The central bank also called for a ban on borrowing or renting bank accounts as well as certain intermediate payment services to improve account holders traceability and limit illegal activities in a draft amendment to a Government directive on cashless transactions.

Under the proposal, commercial banks could freeze accounts if they have sufficient evidence the accounts were used for or involved in fraudulent and illegal activates. Tiếp tục đọc “SBV proposes account freezes to tackle fraud”

Vietnam Keeps Producing Its Own Smartphones, So Why Don’t They Sell?

Made-in-Vietnam phones make sense economically. The country dependent on factory work for the past 30 years is moving up the value chain into electronics. Smartphone developer Samsung Electronics has invested $17.3 billion in Vietnam-based factories, for example. Public schools emphasize science. University graduates who work for a foreign tech firm will know all the more about how to make a phone.

Surging prices and a decline in the supply of affordable apartments are making it almost impossible for young Vietnamese to buy their first home.

Pham Hoai Nam used to think that being a grown-up means having a stable job, a good salary, a beautiful girlfriend, and his own house.

Now, at age 28, he is able to check off all of those items except the last one.

“My girlfriend and I plan to get married next year, and our only major concern now is finding a place to live,” Nam, who works as an electronics salesman in Hanoi, says.

He is among many young Vietnamese in major cities who are finding that their dream of owning a home is becoming increasingly elusive as real estate prices rise faster than incomes amid a decline in affordable apartment supply.

How a data detective exposed suspicious medical trials

If John Carlisle had a cat flap, scientific fraudsters might rest easier at night. Carlisle routinely rises at 4.30 a.m. to let out Wizard, the family pet. Then, unable to sleep, he reaches for his laptop and starts typing up data from published papers on clinical trials. Before his wife’s alarm clock sounds 90 minutes later, he has usually managed to fill a spreadsheet with the ages, weights and heights of hundreds of people — some of whom, he suspects, never actually existed.
