I am an attorney in the Washington DC area, with a Doctor of Law in the US, attended the master program at the National School of Administration of Việt Nam, and graduated from Sài Gòn University Law School. I aso studied philosophy at the School of Letters in Sài Gòn. . I have worked as an anti-trust attorney for Federal Trade Commission and a litigator for a fortune-100 telecom company in Washington DC. I have taught law courses for legal professionals in Việt Nam and still counsel VN government agencies on legal matters. I have founded and managed businesses for me and my family, both law and non-law. I have published many articles on national newspapers and radio stations in Việt Nam. In 1989 I was one of the founding members of US-VN Trade Council, working to re-establish US-VN relationship. Since the early 90's, I have established and managed VNFORUM and VNBIZ forum on VN-related matters; these forums are the subject of a PhD thesis by Dr. Caroline Valverde at UC-Berkeley and her book Transnationalizing Viet Nam. I translate poetry and my translation of "A Request at Đồng Lộc Cemetery" is now engraved on a stone memorial at Đồng Lộc National Shrine in VN. I study and teach the Bible and Buddhism. In 2009 I founded and still manage dotchuoinon.com on positive thinking and two other blogs on Buddhism. In 2015 a group of friends and I founded website CVD - Conversations on Vietnam Development (cvdvn.net). I study the art of leadership with many friends who are religious, business and government leaders from many countries. While the aftershocks of an international arbitration ruling against its South China Sea territorial claims are still being felt across East Asia, Beijing must now grapple with the prospect of an apparent “trilateralization” of defense mechanisms between Washington, Tokyo and Seoul in the region. Moscow finds itself in a more delicate position than Beijing since US anti-missile network covers its western and eastern territories.
China and Russia find themselves in the same boat while opposing the United States’ recent efforts to advance its missile defense complex along both flanks of Eurasia. Some already envisage a possible cooperation between Beijing and Moscow to counter what many Russian analysts have dubbed Washington’s “double containment” from the Euro-Russian border to the East China Sea.

Source of jurisprudence: Cassation decision no. 100/2013/GDT-DS dated 12 August 2013 of the Council of Judges of the Supreme People’s Court concerning a dispute on decedent’s estate in which the Claimant is Mr. Vu Dinh Hung, the Respondents are Ms. Vu Thi Tien and Ms. Vu Thi Hau and the persons with related interests and obligations are Mr. Vu Dinh Duong, Ms. Vu Thi Cam, Ms. Vu Thi Thao, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh and Ms. Ha Thuy Linh.

Established rule: Concerning dispute on decedent’s estate, in the situation where an inheritor resides abroad, if the Court has requested judicial entrustment and sought evidence but cannot know his/her whereabouts, the Court shall continue to settle the claims made by other inheritors, the part of the decedent’s estate attributed to the absent inheritor shall be temporarily managed by an inheritor residing in Vietnam and then handed over to him/her. Sau khi chém chết một cán bộ và hai người khác trong đoàn bảo vệ rừng bị thương, nhóm côn đồ tiếp tục tấn công lực lượng chức năng, cướp súng, đập phá xe cảnh sát tiếp ứng.

Một ngày sau thoát khỏi nhóm côn đồ truy sát trong lúc cùng đoàn công tác bảo vệ đất rừng bị lấn chiếm, anh Triệu Văn Hiệp – Xã đội trưởng kiêm Phó ban lâm nghiệp xã Phi Tô, huyện Lâm Hà (Lâm Đồng) vẫn chưa hết sợ hãi. Anh là người bị thương nhẹ nhất trong 3 cán bộ bị chém khi chỉ khâu vài mũi ở đầu.

Một số cây trồng trên đường Nguyễn Văn Trỗi, Trần Phú (Hà Đông), Dương Đình Nghệ (Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội) bị bật gốc trong bão Marinae lộ nguyên vỏ bọc bằng nhựa, nylon.

Sáng 9/8, UBND TP Hà Nội công bố 15 công ty trồng cây bị đổ trong bão Mirinae ngày 27/7, trong đó có nhiều đơn vị như: Công ty TNHH MTV Công viên cây xanh, Công ty CP tư vấn đầu tư xây dựng Hà Thành, Công ty TNHH MTV Vườn thú Hà Nội… Số cây bị đổ nhiều nhất (hơn 3.000) là tiếp nhận từ các chủ đầu tư dự án. TOKYO — Chinese vessels have made several incursions since Sunday into the territorial waters surrounding the Japanese-administered Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea, Japan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said early Monday.
