GENEVA (Reuters) – World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday there was no need for measures that “unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade” in trying to halt the spread of a coronavirus that has killed 361 people in China.

“We call on all countries to implement decisions that are evidence-based and consistent,” Tedros told the WHO executive board, reiterating his message from last week when he declared an international emergency.

37 foreigners suffer alleged food poisoning in tourism hotspot

Authorities in central Nha Trang Town are investigating the hospitalization of 37 foreigners showing symptoms of food poisoning.

The group of tourists ate a buffet breakfast at Diamond Bay Condotel Resort in Nha Trang of Khanh Hoa Province on Tuesday that contained 30 dishes and served around 600 customers, including Vietnamese, Russians and Chinese.

Several hours later, many began suffering stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea and were sent to the emergency room at a local hospital, said Le Tan Hung, deputy director of the provincial health department.

Thịt rừng được coi là đặc sản chỉ vì đúng một chữ “rừng”. Người ta tin rằng những con thú sống trong hoang dã, tự tìm thức ăn, vận động nhiều, biết cách tìm những loại lá, rễ “đặc biệt” trong rừng để ăn thì vừa ngon hơn, vừa có tác dụng như thuốc bổ mà không có tác dụng phụ như thuốc tây. Nhiều năm qua, tỉnh Lai Châu đã thực hiện nhiều dự án cung cấp nước nhằm giải quyết bài toán thiếu nước sinh hoạt cho người dân. Thế nhưng cùng với khó khăn vì nguồn kinh phí eo hẹp, ý thức duy tu, bảo dưỡng, bảo vệ công trình của người dân còn thấp, thì tình trạng không có nguồn nước đang là vấn đề khó không thể giải quyết ngày một ngày hai cho các địa bàn xã biên giới đặc biệt khó khăn của tỉnh.

Theo thống kê, Việt Nam có tới hơn 12.000 loài thực vật với trên 4.000 loại có khả năng trị bệnh, trong đó có những loài dược liệu quý, hiếm, có khả năng ngăn ngừa, ức chế những căn bệnh như ung thư, đái tháo đường… Sở hữu nguồn dược liệu phong phú, quý hiếm và có dược tính cao, Việt Nam hoàn toàn có đầy đủ điều kiện để trở thành một trong những nước đi đầu trong ngành xuất khẩu dược liệu.
