Chuyện đã xảy ra từ năm 2003 nhưng nhắc đến thời điểm cúm gia cầm bùng phát ở Việt Nam, nhiều người vẫn còn ký ức về bối cảnh người dân thì lo sợ, chính quyền thì bất ngờ, bỡ ngỡ và lúng túng trước một căn bệnh “từ trên trời rơi xuống”, càn quét qua đàn gia cầm trên cả nước một cách hủy diệt, chưa từng có tiền lệ.

HANOI: Vietnam will import 20,000 breeding pigs from Thailand this year, state media said on Thursday, as the country is seeking to rebuild its hog herd battered by an African swine-fever outbreak.

The global community is coming together to tackle an ancient disease that still inflicts interminable human suffering. Globally, one person dies of TB every 20 seconds. While progress has been made over the past decade much remains to be done. Annually, there are still 10.4 million new cases and 1.7 million deaths. One of the key challenges is to find the 4 million missing cases, individuals who develop TB but are missed by health systems and continue to transmit the disease. With the global commitment to end TB, there is a renewed sense of hope in the battle against TB.
Lives and faces behind the numbers
On a hot afternoon in New Delhi, a 45-year old woman explained to visiting guests the devastation unleashed on her family when several members were diagnosed with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), a lethal form of the disease. Due to delayed diagnosis and overcrowding, the disease spread to other family members and several succumbed, including the main breadwinner. Summary:Scientists find that global warming has allowed disease-bearing insects to proliferate, increasing exposure to viral infections.
Spurred on by climate change, international travel and international trade, disease-bearing insects are spreading to ever-wider parts of the world.
This means that more humans are exposed to viral infections such as Dengue fever, Chikungunya, Zika, West Nile fever, Yellow fever and Tick-borne encephalitis.
For many of these diseases, there are as yet no specific antiviral agents or vaccines.
Global warming has allowed mosquitoes, ticks and other disease-bearing insects to proliferate, adapt to different seasons, migrate and spread to new niche areas that have become warmer.

Thâm nhập đường dây buôn bò lậu từ Campuchia về nội địa
18/12/2017, 14:31 (GMT+7) Đường biên giới giữa Việt Nam và Campuchia dài hàng trăm km, ranh giới chỉ là sông, rạch, đường đất nên rất khó kiểm soát, bò nhập lậu năm này qua năm khác, cứ đủng đỉnh “xâm nhập” về Việt Nam vô tư.
Ngày thường bò nhập lậu đã nhiều, ngày cuối năm khi nhu cầu thị trường tăng cao thì bò biên giới về càng tưng bừng “khí thế” hơn.
Nội hóa bò lậu
Chúng tôi đến xã Hưng Điền, huyện Tân Hưng (Long An), nơi được coi bò lậu từ Campuchia xâm nhập thị trường nội địa nhiều nhất của tỉnh Long An, với con số bình quân theo ước tính của cơ quan chức năng khoảng 100 con/ngày thường, còn lúc cao điểm như những ngày cuối năm, gần lễ tết thì khó thống kê được.
