HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has requested country leaders to heighten their focus on preventing Vietnamese fishermen from illegally harvesting seafood in foreign waters.

In official order No 732 issued on Sunday, the Prime Minister acknowledged that the situation is ongoing and has been getting more serious since the end of 2015 in the central provinces of Quảng Ngãi, Bình Định, and Bình Thuận, as well as southern provinces of Kiên Giang, Cà Mau, Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, Bến Tre and Tiền Giang.

HÒA BÌNH — Six out of 18 kidney patients who were receiving dialysis at Hòa Bình Province General Hospital died on Monday morning with suspected anaphylactic shock.

With only a day to go before the end of the second round of peace talks under her watch, officials said little headway had been made on the federalism or increased autonomy that are key demands for ethnic minority groups.

“There will be a less good result than people are hoping for,” Zaw Htay, spokesman for the president’s office, told reporters on Sunday, adding “we did not get agreement on the matter of seceding”.

The launch was immediately reported to President Moon Jae-in, who called a meeting of the National Security Council at 7.30am (6.30am Singapore time), the South Korean office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.

The projectile was likely a ballistic missile, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said, citing an unidentified source.

Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang made the assertion on May 26 in reply to reporters’ query on Vietnam’s reaction to the Taiwanese action.

“Vietnam has full historical evidence and legal grounds to prove its sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spartly) archipelagos,” she said.

Taiwan’s organisation of drills in Ba Binh area in Vietnam’s Truong Sa archipelago is a serious violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelago, threatening peace, stability, security, and safety of navigation, as well as causing tensions and complicating the situation in the East Sea, she added.

“Once again, Vietnam resolutely opposes and demands Taiwan to not repeat similar activities,” she stressed.

Dù hoang tàn, nhà thờ đổ thuộc xã Văn Lý, huyện Hải Hậu vẫn thu hút nhiều du khách và tay máy nhờ sự hội tụ của trời biển, nắng gió và cát trắng.

Nằm ở xã Hải Lý, huyện Hải Hậu, nhà thờ bị bỏ hoang từ năm 1996 và trở thành một điểm tham quan hút khách ở Nam Định. Trước đây, nơi này là một quần thể nhiều nhà thờ lớn nhỏ, nhưng bị nước biển xâm lấn. Tới giờ, chỉ còn một nhà thờ đổ nát giữa khung cảnh hoang vu.
