For the first time in Vietnam, specialists from the Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources have discovered a cemetery of fossilised coral reef more than 5,000 years old on Quang Ngai province’s Ly Son Island. The unprecedented and unique discovery opens up new interpretations of the earth dating back to 5,000 years ago.
The ancient coral reef complex called “Cemetery of coral” located in Ly Son Island District was found in January by the Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources.

Sáng 28-3, UBND TP Đà Nẵng đã tổ chức khánh thành Nhà trưng bày Hoàng Sa nằm trên đường Hoàng Sa (quận Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng). Buổi lễ khánh thành đặc biệt và giàu ý nghĩa này đã thu hút đông đảo các tầng lớp nhân dân tham gia.
Tại buổi lễ nhiều người có cùng suy nghĩ rằng: Khánh thành Nhà trưng bày Hoàng Sa sáng nay, thực ra chúng ta cũng chỉ mới đi một nửa đoạn đường.

The towns of Battambang, Kaysone Phomvihane, and Dong Ha are very different but they have a few things in common. Each is threatened by flooding that stands to get worse in the face of climate change, and each is undergoing a climate resilience makeover to address the problem.
Battambang, Cambodia has a large flood- and drought-prone watershed area and sits near the Tonle Sap Lake. Kaysone Phomvihane in Lao People’s Democratic Republic faces frequent extreme flooding along the Mekong River. Dong Ha in Viet Nam is a typhoon-prone coastline city threatened by sea level rise, storm surge, and flash flooding.

Cua Van, a small fishing village in Quang Ninh, has been recognised as one of the world’s 16 most picturesque villages by travel blog Journeyetc.com.

VietNamNet Bridge – Authorities in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai are struggling to find solutions to address deforestation and development violations, which are rampant in many localities across the province.

Forest rangers here came across 130 cases of deforestation and forest related violations in the first two months of this year, seizing over 148,000cu.m of timber, Duong Hoang Nguyen, head of Gia Lai Forest Protection Department’s Legal Inspection Division, told Viet Nam News Agency (VNA).

The HCMC authorities have called for investment in waste-to-electricity projects
HCMC produces 8,500 tons of domestic waste every day which is treated by Vietstar, Tam Sinh Nghia Investment & Development JSC, Vietnam Waste Solutions and Citenco.
The municipal authorities have called on investors to invest in waste-to-energy plants which generate electricity and protect the environment.

According to Thoi bao Kinh Te Sai Gon , 34 investors, Vietnamese and foreign, have shown their willingness to develop projects to improve dumping grounds and treat waste with waste-to-energy technology.

(TBKTSG) – Sau hơn hai năm hiện diện dưới danh nghĩa “mô hình thí điểm” cùng nhiều bàn cãi, Uber và Grab sẽ tiếp tục chờ… cho tên. Bộ Giao thông Vận tải (GTVT) cần thêm sự nghiên cứu kỹ lưỡng và việc ban hành nghị định quản lý mô hình kinh doanh này vì vậy cần thêm thời gian. Thậm chí, Bộ trưởng Bộ GTVT còn tuyên bố rằng Uber hay Grab cần phải rời khỏi Việt Nam nếu không tuân thủ pháp luật trong khi ai ai cũng biết rõ rằng việc làm luật là của Nhà nước.
