A man in Ca Mau Province, located in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, was levied a VND10 million (US$438.4) fine after authorities were notified of fake news being posted from his Facebook account.

The fine was imposed by officials from the provincial Department of Information and Communications on Pham Van Toan, a resident of Thoi Binh Commune, Thoi Binh District.

VietNamNet Bridge – Though the APG submarine cable broke twice in six months, Vietnam Internet Association’s (VIA) secretary general Vu The Binh said that APG has helped improve security and provisioning capability for Vietnam’s internet.

Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) was put into trial operation in late October and became officially operational in mid-December 2016, after four years of installation.

The APG project attracted many Asian telecom groups, including Japanese NTT Docomo, Chinese China Telecom and South Korean KT. The rupture of two undersea cable lines Asia-America Gateway (AAG) and Intra-Asia (IA) in waters off Hong Kong’s coast on August 28 has insignificant impacts on Internet traffic in Vietnam, said domestic Internet service providers.

Căn cứ Luật Tổ chức Chính phủ ngày 19 tháng 6 năm 2015;

Căn cứ Nghị định số 22/2013/NĐ-CP ngày 13 tháng 3 năm 2013 của Chính phủ quy định chức năng, nhiệm vụ, quyền hạn và cơ cấu tổ chức của Bộ Tư pháp;

Xét đề nghị của Bộ trưởng Bộ Tư pháp tại văn bản số 24/TTr-BTP ngày 05 tháng 6 năm 2017,

QUYẾT ĐỊNH:

Điều 1. Phê duyệt Đề án Hoàn thiện khung pháp lý để quản lý, xử lý đối với các loại tài sản ảo, tiền điện tử, tiền ảo (sau đây viết tắt là Đề án) với những nội dung sau:
