A prolonged deluge early in the rainy season swept through Ho Chi Minh City, resulting in severe flooding in many locations on Saturday, the second time this week.

The two-hour-long downpour caused congestion and inundation in various areas in the southern Vietnamese hub.

ĐÀ NĂNG — After 18 months of construction, Đà Nẵng International Airport officially launched its new terminal at a ceremony held yesterday.

The project is a key part of preparations for the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Summit, which will be hosted in the city this November.

The new terminal, which covers an area of 21,000sq.m, with total investment of VNĐ3.5 trillion (US$155 million), offers 82 counters for check-in, check-out, migration and immigration, as well as 10 boarding gates that will accommodate six million passengers per year, and serve 1,600 passengers at peak hours. Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — Some VNĐ62 trillion (US$2.7 billion) of official development aid (ODA) is the amount proposed by the Hà Nội People’s Committee to build two new railway routes in the city.

The 6km urban railway route number 2, connecting downtown Trần Hưng Đạo Street and the Thượng Định Ward in Thanh Xuân District, is expected to cost some VNĐ35 trillion ($1.5 billion), of which $1.3 billion will be funded through aid from Japan.

Private firm discovered building 104 unapproved apartments in central Vietnam

The notorious Muong Thanh Group has been found building over 100 apartments that defy approved designs in the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang.

The high-rise developer unilaterally adjusted the original design of a hotel and apartment complex in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang, to add a total of 104 apartments for sale.

VN bị kiện trợ cấp là do… cơ quan quản lý nhà nước

TTO – VN đã đối mặt với 14 vụ kiện phòng vệ thương mại (PVTM) đối với hàng hóa xuất khẩu sang nước ngoài, trong đó số vụ kiện chống bán phá giá chiếm nhiều nhất, lên đến 12 vụ, tăng 140%.

Hiểu biết trong lĩnh vực PVTM của cơ quan quản lý nhà nước còn nhiều hạn chế dẫn đến việc đưa ra những chính sách vi phạm các hiệp định thương mại WTO, gây ra các vụ kiện liên quan đến trợ cấp đối với hàng xuất khẩu của VN.
