Sông bị biến dạng dẫn dến vùng hạ du bị xói lở, những ngôi làng ven biển bị biến mất, bãi biển du lịch cũng bị biến mất… Sông bị biến dạng vì sông bị cạn kiệt phù sa. Nguyên nhân chính là do đập thủy điện và khai thác cát.
