(CHG) Cứ đến dịp lễ hội, Chùa Hương lại tấp nập đón du khách thập phương hành hương về đất Phật. Lợi dụng sự đông đúc này, những chủ nhà hàng lại tiếp tục đeo bám, chèo kéo thực khách, và chợ “thịt thú rừng” lại mở nhộn nhịp như nhiều năm trước.

Vẫn như mọi năm, khu chợ “thịt thú rừng” lại mở bán ở những hàng quán ăn ven bến đò và quảng cáo rầm rộ. Khu vực này có khoảng 30 nhà hàng, quán kinh doanh ăn uống, và hầu như nhà hàng, quán ăn nào cũng có thực đơn là những món “thịt thú rừng”, công khai quảng cáo là thịt hươu, nai, hoẵng, nhím, chồn….

Ảnh: Ngủ gật, vật vờ cả đêm dưới mưa chờ mua ấn đền Trần 

5h sáng BTC mới phát ấn nhưng từ 1h sáng 5/2, rất đông người có mặt tại khuôn viên đền Trần (Nam Định) chờ mua ấn. Họ đứng, ngồi vật vờ,  ngủ tại điểm xếp hàng bất chấp mưa nặng hạt.

Sau khi lễ khai ấn diễn ra xong, tại khuôn viên đền Thiên Trường, đền Trùng Hoa, đền Cố Trạch (TP. Nam Định) rất đông người ngồi, ngủ ngay tại điểm phát ấn chờ đền giờ mua ấn dưới cơn mưa

Theo quan niệm, nếu mua được ấn đền Trần sau giờ khai ấn sẽ đem lại nhiều may mắn, tài lộc và công danh nên rất nhiều người nên rất đông người dân địa phương, du khách thập phương chịu rét, “đội mưa”, thức thâu đêm để mua ấn

Nhiều nhà khoa học, nhà nghiên cứu văn hóa, lịch sử khẳng định đây là việc lợi dụng “thương hiệu” Bà Chúa Xứ để trục lợi trong kinh doanh, là kiểu buôn thần bán thánh khiến du khách, người dân ngộ nhận và bức xúc. Nhưng đáng nói hơn là sự dễ dãi đến lỏng lẻo của ngành chức năng tỉnh An Giang khi đồng ý cho doanh nghiệp này sử dụng tên gọi kiểu “lập lờ đánh lận con đen” như thế.

British workers unite in largest strike in a generation

Up to half a million British teachers, civil servants, train drivers and university lecturers have walked off their jobs to demand better pay and working conditions in the largest coordinated strike action in a generation as wages fail to keep pace with soaring inflation.

About 300,000 people on strike on Wednesday are teachers, according to the Trades Union Congress.

Teachers at schools across England and Wales formed picket lines as they called for higher salaries in demonstrations that have divided public opinion.

Khi chiếc nồi đất được đập vỡ tại sân đền Đức Bà, hàng trăm thanh niên và cả người trung tuổi xông vào giằng co để cướp bằng được manh chiếu cói tại Lễ hội Đúc Bụt đầu năm mới.

Lễ hội Đúc Bụt (huyện Tam Dương, Vĩnh Phúc) tái hiện hình thức sinh hoạt văn hóa dân gian truyền tích Ngọc Kinh công chúa chiêu tập nghĩa sĩ rèn đúc vũ khí tụ nghĩa được tổ chức sáng 29/1 (mùng 8 tháng Giêng).

TP HCM – Nhiều người chen vào chánh điện chùa Ngọc Hoàng, quận 1 để dâng lễ và rót dầu nhằm mong làm ăn suôn sẻ, bình an…, sáng mùng 9 Tết.

Mùng 9 tháng Giêng (30/1), nhiều người đổ về chùa Phước Hải hay còn gọi là chùa Ngọc Hoàng (đường Mai Thị Lựu, quận 1) để vía Ngọc hoàng. Theo quan niệm dân gian: “Mùng 8 cúng sao, mùng 9 cúng chư thiên, mùng 10 cúng đất”. Do đó vào ngày này nhiều người đổ về chùa cúng vái cầu mong may mắn, bình an cho bản thân và gia đình.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Three weeks ago, Pakistani authorities ordered all markets, restaurants and shopping malls to close early, part of an emergency plan to conserve energy as the country of 220 million struggled to make overdue payments on energy imports and stave off a full-fledged economic collapse.

But the measures were too little, too late. On Monday morning, the country’s overburdened electrical system collapsed in a rolling wave of blackouts that began in the desert provinces of Baluchistan and Sindh but quickly spread to nearly the entire country, including the densely crowded cities of Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
