RIYADH: Arab nations including Saudi Arabia and Egypt on Monday (Jun 5) cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting extremism, in the biggest diplomatic crisis to hit the region in years.

Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and the Maldives joined Saudi Arabia and Egypt in severing relations with gas-rich Qatar, with Riyadh accusing Doha of supporting groups, including some backed by Iran, “that aim to destabilise the region”. As Israel celebrates the Palestinian Nakba as its triumphant independence on May 1, it is preparing for a massive celebration for the 50th anniversary of its occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza.

Two dates are often used to frame the so-called Palestinian-Israeli conflict: Nakba Day on May 15 and Naksa Day on June 5.

HYDERABAD, India — When the Islamic State identified a promising young recruit willing to carry out an attack in one of India’s major tech hubs, the group made sure to arrange everything down to the bullets he needed to kill victims.

For 17 months, terrorist operatives guided the recruit, a young engineer named Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, through every step of what they planned to be the Islamic State’s first strike on Indian soil.

They vetted each new member of the cell as Mr. Yazdani recruited helpers. They taught him how to pledge allegiance to the terrorist group and securely send the statement.

And from Syria, investigators believe, the group’s virtual plotters organized for the delivery of weapons as well as the precursor chemicals used to make explosives, directing the Indian men to hidden pickup spots.

Người dân Đức ứng phó với khủng hoảng, khủng bố với một tâm thế hoàn toàn khác so với nhiều nơi trên thế giới.

Vụ khủng bố bằng xe tải hạng nặng tại chợ Giáng sinh ở Berlin ngày 19/12 mà một số báo chí gọi là “vụ 11/9” của Đức, khiến 12 người thiệt mạng và hàng chục người bị thương, còn đang trong quá trình điều tra nhưng dư âm của nó đang còn nóng và chắc chắn sẽ còn theo người dân Đức trong thời gian tới.

Nhưng vì sao là Đức và vì sao đúng dịp này? Liệu bọn khủng bố quốc tế có đạt được điều mà chúng mong muốn qua những hành động vô nhân tính này hay không?

Ở phần lớn các nước phát triển, xu hướng già hóa dân số và giảm năng suất được xếp lớp với sáng tạo công nghệ và sự dịch chuyển lao động đi kèm với nó. Suy thoái kinh tế của Trung Quốc đi với việc liên tục tiến hóa của những hợp phần kinh tế trong sự nền kinh tế biến động này. Đồng thời thế giới đang cố gắng đối phó với việc ngày càng giảm nhu cầu của Trung Quốc sau nhiều thập kỷ tăng trưởng kỷ lục, Trung Quốc cũng dần từng bước chậm nhưng chắc di chuyển nền kinh tế của mình thành chuỗi giá trị để sản xuất và lắp ráp mà rất nhiều các yếu tố đầu vào trước đây đã từng nhập khẩu, với mục đích tăng lượng bán hàng trong nước cho chính mình.
