Tính đến cuối tháng 10, có 6 Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh, thành phố được kiện toàn sau thời điểm sáp nhập; trong đó có 2 Ủy viên Trung ương và 3 Ủy viên dự khuyết.
Trong tháng 9 và 10, một loạt tỉnh, thành như Đà Nẵng, Quảng Ninh, Khánh Hoà, Thanh Hoá, Cần Thơ và Lạng Sơn đã tổ chức kỳ họp HĐND chuyên đề để kiện toàn chức danh Chủ tịch UBND. Những thay đổi nhân sự này diễn ra chỉ trong vòng ba tháng sau sáp nhập, nâng số gương mặt mới trong đội ngũ Chủ tịch 34 tỉnh, thành lền 6 người.
Các chủ tịch tỉnh thành hiện nay có độ tuổi trung bình khoảng 52. Trong đó, 15 người ở độ tuổi 42-52, chiếm 44,12%; 19 người trên 52 tuổi, tương đương 55,88%. Tỷ lệ này gần tương đồng với thời điểm sau sáp nhập (55,82% trên 52 tuổi và 41,10% ở nhóm 42-52), phản ánh xu hướng duy trì độ chín về tuổi đời và kinh nghiệm hành chính ở cấp điều hành tỉnh.

I have published many articles on national newspapers and radio stations in Việt Nam.
In 1989 I was one of the founding members of US-VN Trade Council, working to re-establish US-VN relationship.
Since the early 90's, I have established and managed VNFORUM and VNBIZ forum on VN-related matters; these forums are the subject of a PhD thesis by Dr. Caroline Valverde at UC-Berkeley and her book Transnationalizing Viet Nam.
I translate poetry and my translation of "A Request at Đồng Lộc Cemetery" is now engraved on a stone memorial at Đồng Lộc National Shrine in VN.
I study and teach the Bible and Buddhism. In 2009 I founded and still manage dotchuoinon.com on positive thinking and two other blogs on Buddhism.
In 2015 a group of friends and I founded website CVD - Conversations on Vietnam Development (cvdvn.net).
I study the art of leadership with many friends who are religious, business and government leaders from many countries.
