VietNamNet Bridge – An installation of photos taken by women who sell goods at Bai Da Market on the outskirts of Ha Noi is now on display at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.

The exhibition is the result of a project carried out by the Centre for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) during the last two years.
Photos, videos and stories told by the women and things they use everyday, such as baskets and conical hats, are placed together to look like a market and depict the women’s lives with both happiness and sorrow. Tiếp tục đọc “Market women depict their lives through photos”
Nguyen Quoc Dung, a Hanoian painter and photographer, has released a photo book called “Fading Season”. The photos mostly capture young Vietnamese women in the traditional ao dai or yếm (camisole).

Themed “Young mindset, young angle of view”, the 2017 Young Photographers’ Festival is underway in Hanoi through October 16, showcasing 180 photos taken by photographers aged between 18 and 35.

Nhiếp ảnh gia người Thụy Điển Philip Jones Griffiths (1936 –2008) được cả thế giới biết đến với nhứng bức ảnh kinh điển về cuộc chiến tranh ở Việt Nam. Nhưng không phải ai cũng biết đến một loạt ảnh đặc sắc được ông thực hiện ở Việt Nam năm 1980, 5 năm sau khi cuộc chiến chấm dứt. Trong chiến tranh, do điều kiện y tế thiếu thốn nên cắt bỏ chi là một biện pháp được thực hiện phổ biến với những người lính bị thương. Vietnam’s iconic landscapes mesmerize in these photos captured from above
A shortlist of the most breathtaking photos of Vietnam as seen from above has been produced from thousands of submissions to a photography contest.
The contest, themed ‘Vietnam from Above’, called on local photographers to submit their best drone photos of Vietnam for an upcoming calendar collection.
Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association in coordination with Phuong Nam Calendar Company, the contest received nearly 3,400 submissions by 358 photographers after launching in the middle of 2017. Tiếp tục đọc “These award-winning drone photos of Vietnam will take your breath away”
Over the past 10 years, French photographer Réhahn Croquevielle has motorcycled to every corner of Vietnam to explore its land and people. The decade-long journey has produced hundreds of thousands of stunning photos of the country.

A photographer from the Netherlands is planning to publish a photography book featuring amazing pictures she captured street vendors in Hanoi. Loes Heerink plans to include some 100 photos of her “Vendors from above” to the namesake photo book, she told Tuoi Tre News from home.

Dinh toàn quyền khi vừa xây xong, đám cưới ở Sài Gòn, trò chơi của trẻ em bốc vác… là những hình ảnh qúy giá về Sài Gòn thập niên 1860-1880 do nhiếp ảnh gia Pháp Emile Gsell thực hiện.
Dinh Thống đốc năm 1875, 4 năm sau khi được xây dựng – tiền thân của Dinh Độc Lập.
