Minh bạch về cơ hội lao động ở nước ngoài

Thị trường xuất khẩu lao động (XKLĐ) ở VN đã có hơn 40 năm qua nhưng vẫn còn sơ khai.

“Phải minh bạch về cơ hội lao động ở nước ngoài, về giấy tờ, luật pháp. Nhà nước cần liệt kê tất cả các công ty tham gia ngành dịch vụ XKLĐ, buộc họ tuân thủ pháp luật để người dân đi lao động qua những công ty có trách nhiệm và phải chế tài thật nặng những cá nhân – tổ chức hoạt động môi giới chợ đen.” (Trích Trách nhiệm của nhà nước với thị trường xuất khẩu lao động).

Nhiều lao động nhập cư rời TP.HCM vì áp lực, chi phí đắt đỏ kéo theo nhiều khu trọ bỏ trống, quán ăn vắng khách.

Từ sau đại dịch Covid-19, ngày càng nhiều lao động nhập cư ở TP.HCM buộc phải khép lại giấc mơ phố thị, lặng lẽ quay về quê để khởi nghiệp hay tìm kế sinh nhai. Họ ra đi không phải vì hết khát vọng, mà vì không còn đủ kinh phí để trụ lại giữa thành phố với chi phí ngày càng đắt đỏ.

But one NGO says it is seeing more and more minors at its shelter for abused maids.

TPO – Trong vòng 4 năm, trên 160 viên chức y tế Đắk Lắk xin thôi việc. Riêng 1 trung tâm y tế có tới 5 bác sĩ bỏ việc, xin chuyển công tác; đang đối mặt với nhiều khó khăn khi thiếu tới 15 bác sĩ.

Bác sĩ làm việc trong môi trường có nhiều áp lực

Bác sĩ Trần Anh Hùng – Phó Giám đốc phụ trách Trung tâm Y tế huyện Krông Búk (Đắk Lắk) cho biết, đang đối mặt với nhiều khó khăn khi nhiều bác sĩ lần lượt chuyển đi.

Từ năm 2022 đến nay, tại Trung tâm Y tế huyện Krông Búk có 2 bác sĩ bỏ việc và 3 người xin chuyển công tác.

Trung tâm đang thiếu tới 15 bác sĩ, chủ yếu là bác sĩ chuyên khoa như: Răng hàm mặt, tai mũi họng, mắt, da liễu. Đặc biệt, do thiếu bác sĩ ngoại, sản, gây mê, nên trung tâm chưa triển khai phương pháp phẫu thuật.

HỒ CHÍ MINH CITY, VIỆT NAM – Every weekend, workers at Adidas supplier Pouyuen swap their hairnets for vendor hats. Facebook groups then turn into online bazaars, teeming with sales posts of ready-to-eat meals, vegetables, fruit, snacks and sweets.

These side gigs that started as a way of coping with the reduced hours and layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic have now evolved into full-time commitments for many of these workers, most of them women.

Labor ministry calls for Vietnamese in Romania to get their acts together

Certain Vietnamese in Romania are committing illegal acts, including gambling and illegal residence, tarnishing their reputation, the labor ministry said.

In a document recently sent to businesses who have workers in Romania, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has called for behaviors like drinking, gambling and the illegal residence of Vietnamese workers in Romania to stop. Romania is a potential market with high demand for foreign workers, including Vietnamese, the ministry added.

Previously on Jan. 20, upon a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania as part of his trip in Europe, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked for a check-up on companies sending workers overseas after hearing about issues from the Vietnamese community abroad.

Tet gifts for workers come with credit card requirement

Workers at several unions have been told they will receive Tet gifts worth VND300,000 ($12), under the condition that they open a credit card with a finance firm.

Earlier this month, Tuan, president of a workers’ union in Dong Nai Province, received 150 Tet gifts, each worth around VND300,000, from the General Confederation of Labor.

However, instead of cash, transactions or physical products, workers were required to open an account at the HD Saison financial company, fill in information, download the app and open a credit card with a VND5 million limit. Workers were instructed to purchase products on e-commerce platforms, Tuan added.
