(TBKTSG) – Khi cuốn sách của Jonathan Taplin “Move Fast and Break Things” (Di chuyển nhanh và Phá vỡ mọi thứ) được xuất bản ở Anh hồi tháng 4-2017, cái nhan đề phụ của nó “How Facebook, Google và Amazon cornered culture and undermined democracy” (Facebook, Google và Amazon đã lũng đoạn văn hóa và xói mòn nền dân chủ như thế nào) đã bị gạch bỏ bởi vì nhà xuất bản nghĩ rằng nhận định đó không có cơ sở. Nhưng lần tái bản vào đầu năm 2018, nhan đề phụ đó sẽ được khôi phục. Tác giả Taplin cho rằng “Đã có sự thay đổi rất lớn trong sáu tháng qua; trước đó mọi người dường như đang ngủ mê”.

The information minister has pledged to push for more control over foreign tech giants such as Google and Facebook.

Facebook, the world’s biggest social network and the most popular in Vietnam, has acted upon a request by Vietnamese authorities to remove 159 anti-government accounts, a senior government official has said.

The network has removed accounts that defamed or criticized Vietnam’s leaders, and those that spread propaganda against the government and the ruling Communist Party, Truong Minh Tuan, Minister of Information and Communication, said at a meeting on Friday.

Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — The undersea Asia-America Gateway (AAG) internet cable – one of the six cables connecting Việt Nam with the rest of the world – has ruptured since Tuesday morning.

This is the fifth time the cable has broken this year, slowing down internet speed in the country.

Not many can remember when the Internet was in its infancy in Vietnam just over two decades ago.

NetNam Co., based in Hanoi, is considered the pioneering Internet provider in Vietnam.
