Để viết chương sách này, chúng tôi phải tham khảo nhiều tác phẩm liên quan đến Lịch Sử Việt Nam và Lịch Sử Giáo Hội Việt Nam, đặc biệt trong những thế kỷ cấm đạo hay những triều đại vua Lê chúa Trịnh và chúa Nguyễn, triều đại nhà Tây Sơn và triều đại nhà Nguyễn. Tuy nhiên, tác phẩm chúng tôi dùng nhiều nhất, trích dẫn nhiều nhất, vẫn là bộ sách ba cuốn của linh mục Vũ Thành, bộ DÒNG MÁU ANH HÙNG (1).
Lý do, vì duy nhất chỉ nơi bộ sách này chúng tôi mới tìm ra nhiều ‘nội dung’ của các sắc lệnh hay chỉ dụ cấm đạo của vua chúa và nội dung các kiến nghị của quan triều các cấp. Và để giữ tính cách khách quan, chúng tôi chỉ nêu lên các sự kiện và bản văn có lịch sử tính còn ghi lại. Việc ‘phê bình lịch sử’ vượt khả năng của chúng tôi và ở ngoài tiêu đề của chương sách ‘Các Văn Kiện Cấm Đạo’.
Vì thế, khi đề cập đến một văn kiện cấm đạo, chúng tôi trình bày đơn giản, mục đích để độc giả nắm bắt dễ dàng: trong mỗi văn kiện, chúng tôi nêu bật – ‘nội dung văn kiện cấm đạo’, – ‘nguyên nhân đặc thù thúc đẩy việc dâng kiến nghị, việc ra sắc dụ hay chỉ dụ cấm đạo’, – ‘những vụ việc nổi bật xảy ra sau việc ban hành mỗi văn kiện cấm đạo’. About 30 km south of central Da Nang City, Hoi An is a well-preserved example of the important Southeast Asian trading port it was from the 15th-19th centuries.
The co-existence of indigenous customs and habits and those imported by foreign settlers creates a distinctive look which lures visitors to the ancient town.
Ideal weather and sun-drenched beaches are also bonus points for the town.
Yet, TripAdvisor recommends the locality to improve accommodation infrastructure to meet the continuously rising demand of visitors.

Young entrepreneurs have come up with a creative way to have visitors to Hoi An City take part of its famous nipa palm forest home as souvenirs, Hoai Nam reports
Trương Tấn Thọ, 39, earns a living making traditional paper.
Apart from the famous dó (poonah) paper, his firm in Hoi An City, called Giấy Việt (Vietnamese paper), also makes paper from the pulp of bamboo and mulberry trees.
A few years ago, Thọ hit up on the idea of using the stems of the nipa palm (called water coconut in Viet Nam), found in profusion in the area, to make paper and paper products, using the know-how he had acquired in making traditional paper with local materials. A young painter born in the central province of Quang Nam has to look no further than the provincial tourist city of Hoi An to find inspiration for his works.
Nguyen Huu Duc, born in 1991, proudly said a collection of oil paintings depicting a pure, simple and peaceful Hoi An Ancient Town is the “treasure of my painting career” over the last two years.
Duc has captured all what makes Hoi An known around the world – the town’s ancient houses with red tile roofs, yellow walls and the bougainvilleas. The young painter also finds inspiration in a pair of hens, an aging oil lamp, an old bicycle or a ceramic tea set.
Duc graduated from the Hue University of Fine Arts and currently works as a freelance painter.

Nhiều nhà cổ thay tên đổi chủ, thay đổi chức năng và tình trạng biến động dân cư ở Hội An đang làm biến dạng những giá trị trong quần thể di tích được cho là “bảo tàng sống” này
Một buổi sáng giữa tháng 2-2017, người dân đi tập thể dục phát hiện mùi khét cùng đám khói bốc lên nghi ngút từ ngôi nhà cổ vắng chủ ở số 95 Nguyễn Thái Học, phường Minh An, TP Hội An, tỉnh Quảng Nam. Nhiều người hô hoán cùng nhau phá cửa xông vào dập lửa, di chuyển đồ đạc khỏi nhà để hạn chế thiệt hại. Một lúc sau, đám cháy được dập tắt với sự trợ giúp của lực lượng chức năng. A huge amount of sand dredged in two river projects originally meant for protecting an eroding beach in the central Vietnamese province of Quang Nam has been directed away from its expected location.
In early 2017, the Quang Nam administration approved two dredging projects on Cua Dai River in the province’s Hoi An City, with the exploited sand meant to be used as an aid against erosion at the nearby Cua Dai beach.
