(TBKTSG Online) – Cuộc vận động đánh thuế đồ uống có đường đang lan tỏa khắp Đông Nam Á trong nỗ lực bảo vệ sức khỏe người tiêu dùng trước các căn bệnh đái thái đường, béo phì. Thái Lan, Brunei, Philippines đã áp thuế này và sắp tới Singapore và Malaysia có thể theo chân, theo tờ Nikkei Asian Review.

Singapore, Malaysia muốn đánh thuế nước ngọt

Azlan Sohoni, một người dân Singapore 47 tuổi, bắt đầu mỗi ngày với ly sôcôla sữa được khuấy với 1,5 muỗng đường. Tại nơi làm việc, anh uống thêm 5 lon Coca-Cola và vài ly sôcôla tương tự nữa.

Sohoni nói: “Tôi biết uống quá nhiều đồ ngọt không tốt cho sức khỏe nhưng tôi đã quen uống kiểu như vậy rồi”.

(TBKTSG) – Chỉ trong hai tháng đầu năm 2019, nông dân nhiều vùng trồng lúa ở đồng bằng sông Cửu Long (ĐBSCL) như các tỉnh An Giang, Kiên Giang, Đồng Tháp, Hậu Giang, Cần Thơ, Sóc Trăng, Tiền  Giang, Long An… như ngồi trên đống lửa. Không lo sao được khi hạt lúa rớt giá liên tục và đang rơi vào ngưỡng lỗ, đặc biệt những nông dân nghèo phải vay tiền làm ruộng hay mướn đất canh tác trong khi giá phân bón và các loại vật tư nông nghiệp khác, kể cả dịch vụ nông nghiệp, đều tăng.

Viet Nam NewsHƯNG YÊN — Pig-farming Từ Tây Ward in Yên Phú Commune, Yên Mỹ District, the northern province of Hưng Yên, is going through hard times, with farmers forced to cull hundreds of pigs infected with African swine fever every day.

There are 50 households with some 10,000 pigs in the locality.

On Wednesday – the second day after the epidemic was found in Yên Phú Commune – local authorities mobilised forces from the commune veterinary service and police to monitor the destruction of Dương Văn Tâm’s herd, including three sows, 18 cubs and 42 pigs that tested positive for the virus.

Tâm told Thanh niên (Young people) newspaper that when the neighbouring ward of Yên Hoà found an outbreak of the diease, each household contributed VNĐ1 million (US$43) to buy lime powder, spray disinfectant and set up five 24-hour quarantine checkpoints around the ward to prevent vehicles from transporting sick pigs to the area. Le groupe MCE-MARD des Pays-Bas veut cultiver 5.000 hectares d’anacardiers propres dans la province méridionale de Binh Phuoc, a annoncé mercredi 6 mars le vice-président du Comité populaire provincial, Huynh Anh Minh.

Le groupe MCE-MARD veut planter 100 ha d’anacardiers à titre expérimental avant de créer une chaîne de production et d’associer les coopératives de la province.

Le Comité populaire de la province de Binh Phuoc encourage le groupe néerlandais MCE-MARD à coopérer avec les paysans et les coopératives provinciales en vue de créer une zone de production de la noix de cajou propre.

Binh Phuoc compte plus de 174.000 ha d’anacardiers, soit 30% de ses terres agricoles, qui donnent une production annuelle de 200.000 tonnes de noix de cajou brute par an. Elle a quatre zones spécialisées de la culture d’anacardiers dans les districts de Bù Dang, Phu Riêng, Bù Gia Mâp et Dông Phu. La province possède 200 entreprises et 400 usines dans ce secteur, qui ont capable de traiter 500.000 tonnes par an.

Selon un représentant du groupe MCE-MARD, le groupe néerlandais a coopéré avec la Société vietnamienne Viêt Phuc dans la production d’huile d’anacarde à Binh Phuoc.  Le groupe a décidé à investir à Binh Phuoc car la province possède une grande superficie de culture d’anacardiers et de bonnes techniques de plantation.

Le groupe souhaite investir à 5.000 hectares de terres agricoles afin de produire de la noix de cajou propre, et puis construire une usine de production d’huile d’anacarde à Binh Phuoc. En même temps, MCE-MARD assumera la consommation des produits des agriculteurs.
