Ho Chi Minh City proposes ban on groundwater exploitation

Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have proposed a prohibition on underground water exploitation in certain metropolitan locations to ensure public health and prevent potential subsidence.The municipal People’s Committee has ordered the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to establish a map indicating locations where underground water exploitation could pose a danger to local residents.
