The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Construction hold a conference about recycling ash and slag waste from coal power plants as construction materials for the Mekong Delta on October 3.

​Experts fear as coal ash, slag mounting in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta
The land where coal ash is dumped at a coal-fired power plant in south-central Vietnam.
Huge mountains of coal ash are looming large in southern Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, experts said at a conference on Tuesday.

Most coal-fired electric power plants produce coal ash in the form of fly and bottom ash, left after coal is combusted.
