HCM CITY (VNS) — The modernisation of Viet Nam’s railway system is projected to cost about US$5.1 billion, experts said during an event on detailed plans to upgrade the 1,726 km stretch of the North-South railway from Ha Noi to HCM City.

The plan, introduced to the public on Friday by the Viet Nam Railway Authority (VNRA), outlined major projects to be carried out until 2030. The plan aims to eliminate bottlenecks, such as the tunnels of Khe Net and Hai Van, and move the Da Nang Train Station out of the city, as well as more than 90 other infrastructure upgrades to the railway system. TTO – Câu chuyện mưa lớn gây ngập nặng, kẹt xe nhiều tuyến đường ở TP.HCM chiều tối 15-9 đã nhận không ít lời ta thán. Hầu hết đều quy trách nhiệm thuộc về chính quyền.

Nhưng có phải chỉ chính quyền có trách nhiệm trong việc Sài Gòn ngập, kẹt xe thôi hay sao? Còn bản thân người dân sinh sống ở TP.HCM thì sao? Là người dân nên chúng ta được quyền “miễn trừ”?

Ông bà ta có câu nói “tiên trách kỷ, hậu trách nhân” với đại ý trước khi phê phán người khác, chúng ta nên chịu khó tự kiểm mình trước đã.

Vietnamese budget carrier Vietjet has signed a memorandum of understanding with a leading Japanese financial corporation on a multimillion-dollar loan to help finance its fleet expansion, the airline said on Tuesday.

Vietjet and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company Limited (MUL) inked the document yesterday in Tokyo, on the sidelines of the official visit of Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, to Japan.

General Secretary Trong and Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe witnessed the signing of the MOU, which will pave the way for MUL to finance Vietjet’s leasing and acquisition of three brand new A321 aircraft worth US$347.2 million, Vietjet said in a press release.
