Located around 50 kilometres from the centre of Lai Chau Province, the market gathers many people from the ethnic minority groups of Mong, Ha Nhi, Dao and Thai who come from the province’s Phong Tho District.
The two-hour drive from Lai Chau City to Dao San Market allows visitors to contemplate the stunning peaceful scenes of the province. They may pass by spectacular terraced fields, romantic bridges suspended over Nam Cung Stream that lead to pretty villages or evergreen gardens of bananas and corns. Những ngày đầu tháng Giêng âm lịch, nhiều người du xuân, cúng lễ ở Yên Tử (TP Uông Bí, Quảng Ninh) bày tỏ thắc mắc trước việc tỉnh này thu phí trở lại sau 10 năm dừng thu.
Một số người bức xúc cho rằng việc thu phí là không hợp lý, “đi lễ chùa cũng phải nộp phí thì mất hết ý nghĩa”.

“Mọi người dân đều có quyền tự do đi lễ chùa. Việc xây dựng tu bổ chùa phải bằng tiền công đức, việc thu phí ở đây là không hợp lý. Nếu tiếp tục thu phí chúng tôi sẽ không công đức nữa”, bà Lan (73 tuổi, quê Thái Bình) nói.

In collaboration with local and international conservation groups, the Peruvian government has established Yaguas National Park in the country’s far eastern territory to permanently protect millions of acres of pristine rainforest. “This is a place where the forest stretches to the horizon,” Corine Vriesendorp, a conservation ecologist at The Field Museum in Chicago, told the New York Times. “This is one of the last great intact forests on the globe.” The forest is so massive that the clouds which form above it may impact precipitation in the Western United States while many unique species of animals and plants are found only in Yaguas. The National Park designation also protects land inhabited by several tribes of indigenous peoples.

400 triệu năm để hình thành Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng, mấy năm thì phá bỏ?
Vì tầm mức quốc gia, và đôi khi lên đến tầm mức thế giới, của các Vườn Quốc Gia và Vùng Bảo Tồn tương đương, phải chăng nên để một cơ quan cấp quốc gia trực tiếp quản lý, thay vì giao cho các cấp địa phương khác nhau với nhiều bất cập khác nhau?
Vườn Quốc Gia Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng được UNESCO công nhận là Di Sản Thế Giới năm 2003, với Giá Trị Hoàn Vũ Nổi Bật (Outstanding Universal Value).[1] Hang Sơn Đoòng là hang động thiên nhiên lớn nhất thế giới, nằm trong quần thể Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng.[2] Đây là những di sản lớn của quốc gia và của cả thế giới, cần được bảo tồn cho mọi thế hệ nhân loại mai sau.
Có 3 loại nghĩa vụ pháp lý về bảo tồn Vườn Quốc Gia Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng. (1) Danh vị Di Sản Thế Giới bao gồm với nó những nghĩa vụ pháp lý quốc tế về bảo tồn di sản trong Công ước Quốc tế về Bảo vệ Di sản Thiên Nhiên và Văn hóa Thế giới năm 1972 (tên tắt là Công ước Di Sản Thế Giới) mà Việt Nam là thành viên. (2) Nghĩa vụ pháp lý về bảo tồn với UNESO khi Việt Nam đề nghị và được UNESCO đồng ý ghi Vườn Quốc Gia Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng vào danh sách Di Sản Thế Giới. (3) Bên cạnh đó còn có nghĩa vụ pháp lý bảo tồn di sản cho mọi thế hệ con cháu Việt Nam tương lai cho đến nghìn sau.
Các lãnh đạo Quảng Bình, trong 4 năm nay, với cung cách kiên trì thúc đẩy hai dự án xây dựng cơ sở du lịch giải trí đại trà bên trong Vườn Quốc Gia – dự án cáp treo Sơn Đoòng và dự án zipline – có tiềm năng hủy hoại môi trường tự nhiên và các hệ sinh thái trong vườn, bị pháp luật Việt Nam ngăn cấm triệt để, và phản lại trách nhiệm pháp lý quốc tế, cho thấy các vị không quen thuộc với, hoặc đơn giản là phe lờ, các trách nhiệm pháp lý quốc gia và quốc tế về bảo tồn di sản. Thung Nai in Hoa Binh province, attracts tourists with landscapes as beautiful as Ha Long Bay.
Located 110 km from Hanoi, Thung Nai is a large valley surrounded by forests and mountains which are home to a large number of deer. In the afternoon, the deer come to the Da river to drink.
The construction of the Hoa Binh hydro power plant in 1994 created a large lake in the valley. Seen from above, the valley is spectacular.

With agility and intelligence, 33-year-old Sung A Ho, a resident of Ngai Cho Village, was one of the first to offer a homestay service in the commune.
The first impression that people have of Ho is that of a friendly and frank man. Born into a poor family with eight children, he did not have the resources to go to school. He cannot read or write, but that has not stopped him from earning a stable living.

The Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2003, covered 85,754 hectares. With this extension, the site covers a total surface area of 126,236 hectares (a 46 % increase) and shares a boundary with the Hin Namno Nature Reserve in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos. The Park’s landscape is formed by limestone plateaux and tropical forests. It features great geological diversity and offers spectacular phenomena, including a large number of caves and underground rivers. The site harbours a high level of biodiversity and many endemic species. The extension ensures a more coherent ecosystem while providing additional protection to the catchment areas that are of vital importance for the integrity of limestone landscapes.

Brief synthesis
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is located in the middle of the Annamite Mountain Range in Quang Binh province, Viet Nam, and shares its boundary with the Hin Namno Nature Reserve in the Lao PDR to the west. The property comprises an area of 123,326 ha and contains terrestrial and aquatic habitats, primary and secondary forest, sites of natural regeneration, tropical dense forests and savanna and is rich in large, often spectacular and scientifically significant caves.
