Marking the 28th annual World Press Freedom Day, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen published a letter on May 3 calling on news media to be guided by ethics and professionalism.
“I sincerely appreciate and place high value on our journalists who have made great efforts to overcome obstacles and dangers in fulfilling their duties to actively broadcast and publish news on what is really happening in the country,” the Phnom Penh Post cites him as saying.
Hun Sen called on local and international media to follow the law and refrain from “spreading fake news” that damages reputations and fosters “social chaos.”
“It’s the way to fight against criminals who seek to gain personal interests by using media as a cover to commit offenses that affect people’s dignity and the prestige of the media and professional journalists. This cannot be tolerated,” Hun Sen said.
Hun Sen’s claim to place a high value on journalism is false. The evidence suggests that those in Cambodia who actively report on “what is really happening in the country” face intimidation, assault and imprisonment.

9h sáng thứ hai 6-12-2021, báo Khmer Times hoan hỉ đăng tin: “Đại sứ Trung Quốc tại Campuchia Vương Văn Thiên cho biết dự kiến Campuchia sẽ sản xuất vắc xin Covid-19 vào năm tới”. Số là ông đại sứ sáng đầu tuần ấy dự lễ khánh thành một con đường ở tỉnh Prey Veng, nhân tiện báo tin tốt lành đó.

(NLĐO) – Tất cả những gì đang diễn ra cho thấy tuyến biên giới Tây Nam đang rất “nóng” vì dịch Covid-19. Vậy làm sao để bịt kín các lỗ hổng?
Việt Nam đã khống chế được dịch Covid-19. Tính đến hết ngày 16-4, TP HCM đã 62 ngày không ghi nhận ca mắc Covid-19 trong cộng đồng. Hà Nội đã 59 ngày và Hải Phòng 52 ngày, Hải Dương 22 ngày không có ca lây nhiễm trong cộng đồng.
Nếu nhìn vào tình hình đó, gần như Covid-19 đã tạm lùi ở nước ta.
Nhưng, đó chỉ là sự bình yên tạm thời.

The demolition occurred sometime after September 5—likely around September 10—though imagery of sufficient resolution to confirm was not available at that time. The building was one of several U.S.-funded facilities on the base which were reportedly to be relocated after Cambodia struck a secret deal to grant China access to Ream.
