The People’s Committee of central Quang Binh province has approved a detailed planning scheme to develop the world’s longest zip-line system in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
The zip-line system, alongside a world-class tourism service complex, will be built in a mountainous area of 350,000 sqm in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, which is home to Son Doong Cave.
It will run over Chay River to the entrance of Toi (Darkness) Cave to offer travellers a magnificent view of the nature and wildlife there.
The zip-line and the complex will be capable of serving 1,000 tourists per day.
It is part of the province’s efforts to develop tourism, a key industry expected to fuel Quang Binh’s socio-economic development.-VNA
I wonder if these idiots in Quảng Bình have talked to any preservation scientist and environment expert about the environment impact on the National Park. Or they just trying to annoy the world by constantly throwing out one stupid idea after another – like ladders in Son Doong, cart cables in Son Doong, now “longest zip line in the world” in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
Giving these guys any authority over these World Heritage site is like telling the cats to guard the chunks of fat.
